Paella delivery or a chef cooking at your villa: which to choose?
Paella delivery brings a prepared dish to your door; a private chef cooks at your home or villa. That difference affects the space you need, the timing of the meal and the details to check in a quote. For a gathering in Málaga or Marbella, first decide how you would like the meal to work.
Check whether you are booking delivery or cooking at the property.
Cooking at your villa requires a review of the space and setup.
Compare what each quote includes, as well as the price per serving.
Fuego y Arroz cooks rice live for 4 to 20 guests; other group sizes are on enquiry.
Two different ways to organise the meal
Delivery can suit you if you want to receive the cooked rice and arrange the table yourself. Check the delivery time, presentation, portions and any terms about containers or collection with the provider.
Cooking at the property can suit you when you would like the preparation to be part of the gathering. The space needs to be reviewed, and the chef’s arrival coordinated with your mealtime. Table service and other help depend on the proposal.

Each provider sets their own terms. This comparison describes the formats, not a standard set of inclusions for every service.
Which format does Fuego y Arroz offer?
Kike buys the ingredients, cooks at the property and cleans the kitchen used afterwards. The private paella chef experience is live cooking at your home or villa, rather than a delivery of finished rice.
Published menus are for 4 to 20 guests. For fewer than 4 or more than 20, please enquire about the options. If you only want delivery, confirm that format with a provider who offers it.
What space needs to be checked?
Share an overall photo of the kitchen and the area where you would like the rice prepared. If you are thinking of a terrace or garden, explain how it is accessed and what the property allows. The setup is agreed after reviewing the menu and location; full equipment or universal space requirements should not be assumed.
Also ask who provides utensils, crockery and service items. If you are planning an outdoor meal, discuss what alternative might work if that area cannot be used.
The published menu offers roast chicken; Iberian secreto pork; duck and scallops; octopus, foie gras and negui; and cuttlefish with king prawns and young garlic. Share the dish you would like and any dietary preferences or requirements before agreeing the menu.
Do not assume every combination or adjustment is possible. If you would like more than one rice dish, ask whether it works for your group and space. Starters, desserts or other requests also need to be specified in the proposal.
Compare proposals for the same number of people and location. Check the food in each one, whether it covers delivery or cooking on site, and who handles each part of the service.
A price per serving does not explain the total on its own. Check travel or delivery, equipment, table service and any requested extras. A higher price does not necessarily refer to the same dishes or arrangements.
The private chef price guide lists published rice prices and illustrative menu subtotals for different group sizes.
Prepare your enquiry for the format you choose
For live cooking, gather the date, town, guest numbers, preferred rice dish, desired mealtime and photos of the space. If you are renting a villa, include any relevant house rules you already know.
Before booking, make sure the menu, total, timings and terms for changes or cancellation are clear. Your enquiry starts the proposal; it does not confirm a date on its own.
Frequently asked questions
No. The phrase can describe delivery or a chef cooking at your property. Check the format before comparing prices or requesting a date.
The Fuego y Arroz experience involves cooking the rice at the agreed location. Live preparation is part of the proposal.
The area, house rules and setup need to be reviewed with the chef. A terrace is not assumed suitable without checking those details.
Ask about the combination you would like. Feasibility, arrangements and pricing are reviewed around the guest numbers, menu and space before confirmation.
Share your date, town and guest numbers. You can leave the date open if you are still planning. We first agree availability and the menu; an enquiry does not confirm a booking.
